Red Bamboo
Red Bamboo is a vegetarian and vegan soul food restaurant located in New York City. With a diverse menu offering starters like Almond Coconut Chicken, Asian Dumplings, and Cajun Fried Shrimp, Red Bamboo caters to a variety of tastes. Their entrees range from Bamboo Curry Chicken to Coconut Chicken, providing flavorful options for both vegetarians and meat-lovers alike.
One of the standout features of Red Bamboo is their eco-friendly packaging, using DeliverZero containers to fight climate change and reduce waste. They also offer delivery, takeout, reservations, and even have gender-neutral restrooms, making it a welcoming and inclusive space for all.
As a food reviewer, I am impressed by the extensive menu offerings at Red Bamboo, from classic dishes like the Bamburger and Chicken Parmesan Hero to more unique options like the Black Bean Ginger Stir Fry and Mango Tofu. The commitment to providing plant-based alternatives to traditional meat dishes is admirable and showcases the restaurant's dedication to offering delicious and sustainable options to their customers.
Overall, Red Bamboo is a must-visit for anyone looking for flavorful and creative vegetarian and vegan dishes in a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. I highly recommend trying their diverse menu and experiencing the unique flavors that Red Bamboo has to offer.

My husband and I order Postmates from Red Bamboo all the time. Its one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always great and they have such a varied menu. Last night we ordered from Postmates and the restaurant called to let us know the delivery person forgot one of our bags. They felt terrible and the owner herself biked over with it. We are all the way over on the east side and the restaurant is on the west side. If we didn't order through Postmates, I highly doubt we would be within their delivery zone. The fact that the owner took the time to deliver our food really meant a lot. And as if biking the food over personally wasn't enough, she also threw in a free tiramisu as an apology. Five stars for the food, ten stars for the costumer service!

OK some of the people that live in Peekskill NY may not know this Restaurant, because this place is in NYC. This is a vegetarian restaurant for real vegan diet people. I came here years ago, but my wife and I met our grandson for basketball game in the village and we went here for dinner and hadn't loss a beat, it STILL HAS ALL THE SAME FOOD AND DRINKS THAT STILL THE BEST ON THIS PLANET. Yes I will be back again and you will get your money worth and not be disappointed. This pass Saturday. I f get a chance go and check it out.

Super friendly and quick service! They wasted no time getting the food out. We ordered the roti canai (very tasty, probably my favorite), the beef curry (yummy with a delicate broth, the texture of the vegan beef was incredible) and the Indian chicken curry (my least fave because I'm picky about Indian curries but it was a decent Americanized version, it didn't have the punchy flavors and spices I was hoping for but I did like the vegan chicken). We ordered a scoop of coffee and cookie dough ice cream for dessert. The coffee really didn't taste like coffee at all, it was odd. And the cookie dough tasted more minty? It was an odd ice cream experience, didn't love it. But would still come back here to try to soul food dishes!

I have been ordering a lot from Red Bamboo since I turned plant based either thru Uber Or Grub Hub, my favorite is the spicy chicken with brocolli. I have also tried the Thai beef curry, mango chicken, bbq buffalo wings and their desserts. The food is consistently made and consistently good. This month, we finally went to the restaurant to try. The people I brought were surprised they were eating plant ! The food was great and a lot more in the menu than online. Server was patient taking our orders and the dessert was lovely! The place was small and cozy. Must try !
